The Learning Resources Pretend & Play Meal Time Play Set (LER 7295) is a good quality play food set made of soft, durable plastic.

The Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner set is each individually wrapped in its own nice, sturdy plastic (hand) shopping basket. The Breakfast set (LER 7296) includes: fried egg, two bacon slices, muffin, pancake, bowl of strawberries and a glass of orange juice. The Lunch set (LER 7297) includes: hamburger patty, hamburger buns, slice of bologna, slice of cheese, two slices of white bread, four potato chips, watermelon slice, piece of lettuce, tomato slice, ice cream cone and a glass of milk. The Dinner set (LER 7298) includes: chicken leg, steak, corn on the cob, mashed potatoes, green peas, roll, piece of lettuce, slice of tomato, piece of cake and a glass of milk.

You really get alot of good quality play food with this set. I am very happy with this purchase.

For Christmas, I bought my daughter a kitchen. However, it came with only 4 or 5 pieces of fake food. I saw this and decided for the price, I had nothing to lose. Even though there wasn’t a picture, I decided to go ahead and pick it up. I’m so glad I did and my daughter is too. You get 3 different baskets divided into separate courses: breakfast, lunch, dinner. They baskets are a great size and have a handle so they can be carried around. They’re like the baskets you can carrry at the supermarket. There are approcimately 11-14 pieces of food in each basket for example, a fried egg, pancake, bowl of strawberries, sandwich, burger, corn, peas, potatoes, bread, steak, chips, cake etc. What I like the best is there aren’t any cardboard boxes which get destroyed easily. All in all, it is a very good value and I am very satisfied.

This entire Learning Resources line is amazing! I hesitated buying this set at first because it was so expensive. However, it is worth it! The pieces are large, most of them being the size of the real thing. They are not the cheap thin plastic that breaks and smashes easily. They are durable, thick plastic that will definitely last. I have purchased other play food sets and they just pale in comparison. I also like that there aren’t any labels or cardboard because those seem to get smashed easily and/or tear. I absolutely love this whole set. So much, in fact, that after I received these, I bought the sandwich set and healthy snacks set as well. Highly recommend!!

My 2 year-old thinks the food is fun! He loves to pretend eat, the life-like strawberries are a big hit, as are the lettuce leaves. I am a little disappointed though. I guess I thought 44 pieces would be a lot more. I don’t know that I got my “moneys-worth”.

This is a great play food set. It is durable (nothing flimsy) very realistic, and all in all a lot of fun for my 18 month old daughter to play with. Yes, it is expensive– but the quality of the product makes it worth every penny. It is nothing like the cheap plastic food that you can buy at toys r us and target– this stuff is really made to last.
